Steel book stand, 'Ancient Wisdoms'

Marco Florindez has such an original sense of art that he transforms ancient Inca glyphs into a formidable sculpture. "In this design I combined the Inca symbols for Pachamama (Mother Earth), the sun, and the moon as early receptors of wisdom, " explains the Peruvian artist. "Nowadays, wisdom and knowledge is passed through books, which gave me the idea of making a steel sculpture that would hold books."
